How can I find out my spirit guide names?

If you are just getting started and you don’t feel comfortable going to someone else for a spirit guide reading, I would advise you to start out by doing meditation and journaling. Tell your guides you want to get to know who they are and how they work with you and you will have some amazing results. It may take a little bit of time, but when your guides feel you are ready, they will reveal their names. It even helps if after you enter in your meditation, you can use dowsing rods to get their physical names.

You may have one spirit guide or you may have many. It all depends on what you are supposed to learn and the guides that are appointed for each lesson. For me when I first started to do mediumship, I met my gatekeeper/doorkeeper during a dream state and she was literally in front of a large door. She was very straight to the point with me which I liked and said, “now I’m going to tell you I believe in Jesus.” I told her, “that’s fine”. She was a psychic medium when she was on the earth plane. Right after I met her, then it dawned on me who she was, this would be the guide that would help me develop my mediumship.

Weeks later my father-in-law passed and came to visit me and I would be told to contact his wife. He gave me her phone number to call her because he was worried about her. I delivered the message to her and so I began my journey. Did I have a name for my guide? No, I just knew her as my gatekeeper, the one to open the door from the spiritual world to this world.

So don’t be discouraged, allow the meeting of the guides alone to be the significance.

Now my healing guide was very different, I actually received a name for them in clairaudience. So depending on how you receive your information can also determine how they will communicate. Maybe they show you just symbols, take notes, and the pieces will fit together when they are supposed to.

How do I identify a true psychic?

I highly suggest to do a phone reading or chat reading to test out a reader’s ability without them physically seeing you. We don’t do lottery numbers, the Universe keeps us humble on purpose. So don’t ask things like lottery numbers or gambling bets.

Ask questions that you know the answers to and then ask questions that you don’t know the answers to. You can validate a reader’s claims based on the information they provide you with that you can confirm.

Once you have established a reader that is right for you, readings should become more accurate as you read with this person, because they begin to become familiar with your energy and the symbols they are shown. You can ask about life purpose or business strategy, career, love, and if the psychic is a medium you can even have them connect with someone that has passed on.

You identify a true psychic when you can ask them a question you can confirm or verify. I do advise to make a small investment first with a reader to see if you like their style and if they are able to communicate to you in a way that you understand.

I’ve seen multiple psychic visions of a possible new future, but it isn’t with my current partner, can I change it?

Be careful with these visions, sometimes there are true intentions behind the vision and sometimes it is just merely to create chaos. When we begin to open ourselves, a lot of information can come in. The way to discern good from bad is to see if this is just a distraction from you opening up your true self or if it is actually an improvement.

Negative energy doesn’t want us to open up and become our true selves because then we benefit the whole. So placing emotional distractions on our path is a way to prevent this from occurring and even isolating us.

So with this occurrence, I would advise to not make any rash decisions. Remember this, negative energy wants “separation” and positive energy wants “unity.” As a disclaimer for anyone reading this, use common sense on this as well, if you are in any sort of physically abusive situation and need to make an immediate change to protect yourself than by all means, protect yourself and any children involved.

You can also look at this as an opportunity to make changes within the relationship that would allow for improvement for you both. What improvements are the visions showing you and how can you emulate this with your relationship?

Visions are not always a pre-determination of the future. They are there to often teach us something or show us something in a way that we comprehend. So look deeper into what you are being shown. If you do feel this is something of a negative distraction you can remove this energy or attachment either by yourself or through a medium or healer.

Can psychics predict the time of death of a particular person? If they can, is it ethical to share this information with the said person?

I typically do not have spirit tell me about a person’s death unless there is an accident or situation that can be prevented. Then I will be shown the situation and I can advise the client or person to be mindful of what I am being shown. This is a very, very rare instance that I have this occur, but we are not typically shown a person’s death state in advance.

I have been shown an accident prevention for a police officer that I would read for and because of the hindsight I gave him, the accident still occurred, but the vehicle he was in was different. It occurred in the precise spot I was seeing and happened in the same way that I saw it. This vision came to me when he had asked if he should buy a motorcycle. So his spirit guides wanted me to prevent this and therefore told me how to prevent it. This person never came to me again, but did share the validation with me and the newspaper clipping.

I have been also given preventative information for a family member all the way across the country. I was shown the information in a dream state. I saw the road that they were taking, landmarks around them and that this was thought to be a “quicker” way home. Then I was shown a two lane road and a minivan crossing over into their lane and hitting them head on. I told them immediately the next day. Here they were taking a new route to work because it was “quicker.”

They still took the same route that night. A driver in a minivan was on their cell phone and veered over right into the other lane. My family member was being extra cautious driving that night and was able to in advance pull over on the side of the road missing the danger and preventing the head on collision.

On the other side of the fence, I have had a neighbor that I just met while checking the mail one day. She was an older woman and started talking to me, but I couldn’t hear what she was saying to me at all because her soul started speaking to me and was talking over her. This was different though, she was speaking directly in my ear from the inside and telling me that she was very sick and would be passing soon.

Three months had passed and I did not see her. I ran into a neighbor down the street that was going to check on the woman’s house. I asked her if she had seen her and she told me that the woman was in the hospital. They found an inoperable brain tumor and that she would pass soon. The woman passed soon after.

Now even though this woman’s soul was speaking to me, ethically it was not my job to tell her physical body that she was going to pass. Her soul already knew.

When her soul stopped speaking to me, I could then begin to hear what she was actually saying to me in person. She was confessing that she didn’t feel she was a good mother to her kids and that some of the choices she made in life impacted how distant she was to be with them when they were older. Looking back on this now, she was clearing out her conscience with me, she was speaking her truth to someone she did not know.

Every situation is different and as a medium it is not my job to provide gloom and doom to people, it is my duty to help lift them up and in some instances prevent events that are not supposed to occur. And in some situations, my job is to merely listen, help heal the soul, and move it on from its discomfort.

How do people react when they find out you’re psychic?

I have had this ability since I was a child and depending on the environment and the belief system, I can be viewed as evil or enchanting. I have to say the majority of people that I encountered when I was younger would steer clear of me, fearful of what I would pick up on. As a child, I would just say what I was “seeing” with family members and because it was truthful and involved a personal secret, they would try to avoid me at all costs or not speak with me if we had to be in the same room.

As an adult, I have more control and I only read people when I am given their permission. If the person is ready to receive the information, they will ask. But yes I have found it quite challenging to have friendships or associations with people that do not have an understanding of what psychic abilities entails.

For a psychic or a medium, the closer you become to someone the more you can see them inside and out, and read them. You can see and feel the layers of them even when they are not physically present. This can be an invasive relationship and sometimes is overwhelming for people that are only accustomed to what I call “surface” relationships. A surface relationship is something that stays on the surface meaning you associate when in public settings, you perform activities together, but you keep emotional boundaries from being exposed.

The reaction I receive from people that just meet me though now can range from: “Can you read what I am thinking right now?” “I hear you are a witch”. “Do you see my future, can you prove it?”

Psychics are a part of a generalized stereotype. Being psychic has nothing to do with religious preference, so it is not associated with only Wiccans (or witches), in fact there are Buddhists, Catholics, Christians, etc. that are professional psychics. And we do not start reading everyone as soon as we meet them, we have to protect our abilities and energy and only read someone when asked to, or are alerted to for our own knowledge and sometimes warning. We would be emotionally drained to pick up and take on everyone’s energy in social settings, like parties, grocery stores, or work.

Announcing that you are a psychic can be a parting of waters. People will either accept you or not. It’s not our job to prove ourselves to people that don’t believe in psychic abilities. It’s not our job to convert people either.

As a medium, I have had messages from people’s loved ones that do not seek my help, but the spirit is adamant about reaching them. The spirit will tell me who they are associated with (it might be someone on my Facebook list, it might be someone I went to elementary school with) and they will keep coming to me until I relay the message.

Ironically this occurs with some people that do not have any beliefs in life after death and they are very up front about this. I will ask to relay the message, tell them a little bit about what I do, and give them validation about the person that passed, and how they appeared. Then what usually comes through is a message from the loved one about the person’s active life and direction. Spirits are very active in knowing events and directions and when they want to interfere or help change their loved one’s course of action, they will intervene.

None of this information will make sense to me, but it does to the person I deliver the message to.

Will people think you are crazy? Some will, yes. Will people avoid you or be skeptical? Almost always, but it is the nature of this ability. The important thing to hold onto is that you have this ability for a reason and it is something that will not go away, it will only get stronger. It’s up to you to use your gifts to help others that can’t see or hear the way that you can.

Can a psychic put a spell on me if she has my full name and birthdate?

There are instances when someone can do a psychic attack with their own energy or negative intentions, but they do not need your name or birthdate to do this. And if you feel like this is the person’s intention, then I would advise to stay away from interactions from them and block their energy by not participating with them anymore. Remove any mention or association with them that you have online as well to protect yourself. This in itself is an act of cutting the energetic cord that associates you to them.

I personally do not require someone to give me their full name and in blind reading situations such as hotline readings on Keen or on Best Psychic Directory, readers will only see your username and not your actual physical name unless you choose to introduce yourself. Even when I have someone come to me personally on Living On Intuition, I have a team member advise that it is ok to read for them, I don’t see the actual location or name, unless the client chooses to tell me. I like to know the least bit of information about the person as possible prior to reading for them.

There are a lot of readers that will track their clients by birthdate similarities in spreadsheets so they know when the same person is coming to them. Others actually use it for providing readings about astrology which obviously would be a requirement for that particular type of reading. But as for a psychic or a medium this is not needed as you have already done an age verification upon signing up to be a client on most hotline sites. Credit card verification alone proves that you are over a certain age unless you are trying to use someone else’s credit card, but they have checks in place for this as well.

This being said, I have done free healings for people that have been in similar situations and just need clearing or rebalanced. Energy impacts us all so even coming in contact with someone that makes us feel uneasy can have residual impact on us, especially if we are sensitive.

This is another reason why I suggest to research your psychic readers, make a small investment with them on a reading before purchasing a larger package. You want to make sure that you can validate what they are saying to you and that you feel comfortable with them as a reader. You want to feel empowered and not disabled.
